The home’s second bedroom brings the outside in with a unique light fitting created from a piece of locally foraged wood, strung with vintage Edison style bulbs for a contemporary feel. Enhancing the space’s natural look, foraged wood has again been used, whittled and shaped by the design team to create a striking headboard. To recreate this look, you can buy natural wood discs from online shops such as Amazon.

If you want to have a go at creating a unique feature with foraged wood, just make sure you have the consent from the woodland owner. The Woodland Trust says that you must have consent before removing any wood from a forest and do check the rules on the size or weight of wood you are allowed to take. You will also need to be mindful of what you pick up as some bits of wood, though they may look abandoned, may be vital to the woodland ecosystem.
